    RDR,

Who you get your internet service from has no bearing on your ability to access ESPN3. Your ISP is merely the pathway that is used to access your ESPN3 account. Your ESPN account is tied to your cable provider - if they have negotiated with ESPN to offer access. It's like having a key that starts multiple vehicles. The vehicle (internet access) doesn't so much matter for your purposes of getting from A to B, the key (ESPN3 account via your cable package) is what actually enables you to get around.

In Wichita, people who subscribe to ATT DSL or Uverse get ESPN3 regardless of whether or not they get a TV package through ATT.

Usually not if you are connecting from a locale close to the blackout area, because they black it out based on a block of IP's specific to the cable carrier you are connected to. You can use a proxy to circumvent that but public proxies are usually overloaded and will cause nasty latency (causing constant buffering).

Edit: Interesting. It appears Cox may be blocking users at the user level instead of based on thr connection GeoIP (I use Uverse). So it appears from people complaining on here that if you are a Cox Kansas customer then you are going to get blacked out regardless where you connect from. That has not been my experience with Uverse.

Tonight you won't need to login because it is an ESPN3 game and not a WatchESPN (ESPN, ESPN2/U) game. The only way you wouldn't be able to see this one online is if you're inside of the blackout zone

You're welcome, but I hope I haven't botched it up and given misinformation. Putting it to the test tonight though, as I am in Dallas. :)

We are Cox customers so we can watch Cox22 at home. I am often on the road outside of Kansas and want to watch these Cox22 games on ESPN3 when available. The first time I started the WatchESPN app on my phone, I was asked who my cable provider is and to log into my Cox account.

Now, the games that are blacked-out on ESPN3 in the Cox service area are blacked-out on my phone, too. Is there a way to beat this system?

@Shocker85:, Cox offers an app called "TV Connect" that you can download. Once downloaded, you can open and watch any channels available via your Cox subscription on your mobile device.

Yes, per my previous post, as a Uverse account holder I am able to watch the game on ESPN360.com on a laptop in a hotel room in Dallas using my Wichita Uverse account. I am also able to watch the game on my Samsung Note II using WatchESPN (which I was doing in Papasitos restaurant). So my Roku would be able to watch it anywhere as a Uverse account holder too.

Not sure Cox will let you do that though.
